How to install a keg system in your boat!

We had heaps of people ask how to do this so here it is. You only have to drill two holes.

First, go to your local beer equipment supply store and show them these pics. They will give you what you need. Andale Beverage supplies in Adelaide. ($400-$500)

  • Keg Coupler
  • Tap Coupler
  • Copper coil (2nd hand out of Glycol thingo)
  • Tap
  • 5M beer line
  • Also buy your own small CO2 bottle that you can clamp to the floor of your boat.
    Gas regulator

NOTE: If you want to do beer get a big plastic tub and put it in the back locker so you can fill it with ice. You can just rest the keg on this so it stays cold. This will stop the keg been foamy and also eliminate the need for copper coil. Make sure it can drain the water out so the ice stays longer.

Now you want to check diameter of tap coupler and hole saw through the tower mount (Drop the tower first). I think it was 22mm, you may also want to check warranty details.

There should be a hole through the tower mount which you can see by looking down through it with a flashlight. You want to drill through this with extra long steel drill bit the same diameter as the beer line. Watch out for wires, etc.

You can now easily feed the beer lines into the under seat esky and through to the back locker. Or really wherever you want it to be located.

Place the copper coil in the underseat esky and cover in ice to get icy cold sangria/beer/cider every time. Connect all the fittings up you are Ready to go!
