The eyes are two windmills that used to be located directly next to the cellar door when it was just a shed. In 1956 the Murray River had one of its most significant flood events and these windmills were washed away. We erected a restored windmill and placed it in the highest point of the vineyard. Here it stands as a monument to ways of the past and keeping an eye on the place.
In 1992 the development of the vineyard and citrus orchid was started. Nothing was spared implementing state of the art irrigation and growing techniques ensuring premium quality and providing a care for the environment. The vineyard is now 350 acres and consists of 9 different varieties of wine grapes. The citrus blocks now occupy 70 acres of the property. Both the vineyard and citrus continue to grow and offer the main ingredients to the Sangria.
Lifestyle inspired wines is what we are all about, a love for cars and racing them is a major part of our lives. This as a final addition to the mosaic just about expresses everything we love about life and helped to the creation of sangria.

Offers an insite to the past showing the hits and misses and learning from mistakes and moving forward.
Here in the Riverland we enjoy a pollution free environment, abundant wildlife and an average of around 300 days a year of blue skies. These conditions combined with nutrient rich soils and state of the art irrigation allows to grow consistent premium quality wine while caring for the environment.
In 1886 the Watchouse family built the first homestead in the side of the cliff down by the river. This house still stands today and is used as our private wine cellar due to its excellent insulating properties. In 1902 they built the main homestead and Emma Watchouse decorated the perimeter in numerous roses. The rose garden was so extensive and beautiful the property became known as “Rose Farm” for many years. This story lives on through our Caudo logo, large rose garden and all vineyard blocks are named after different rose varieties.
In 1986 we purchased the property as family waterski holiday house and hobby farm. A love for this fantastic region and community has bought me back here to live and create this lifestyle business and beverage.
